First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit Extension – April 30th Expiration Nearing

The first time home buyer tax credit extension is sure to cause great buzz in Washington over the next several weeks and possibly even months. With the April 30th, 2010 expiration nearing many people are wondering if there will be an extension of this tax credit.
Unfortunately, no one knows at the present time if this tax credit will be extended. There are likely to be many people in favor of extending the tax credit as the housing market has continued to struggle even with low mortgage rates and tax credits extended to home buyers.
Over the last few months we have seen a significant amount of data that shows that home prices continue to stabilize or move down. This is a very scary thought when it comes to the overall economy. If people are not buying homes there’s a good chance that the economy could continue to struggle.
Over the next few weeks there is a very good possibility that the first time home buyer tax credit extension will be mainstream news. Look for many major news sources to report on this issue. By mid-April we should know if there will be an extension to the first-time home buyer tax credit.
