Posted on | March 17, 2010 | No Comments

At the present time the best money market account rates are between 1.5% and 1.7%. The same seems to be true for bank CD Rates maturing in one year as well. With an interest rate of 1.5% many investors are seeking other investment vehicles but there are few investments as safe as a money market account or a bank CD.

When investing money it is very wise to consider risk versus reward. If you are a very risk averse investor then you may want to consider doing a significant amount of research on a money market account or a bank CD. If you are not a risk averse investor then you may consider stocks or mutual funds.

Before making any large investment it is always important to make your own judgement and not let someone else tell you what to do. Ultimately it is your money and your decision to make so make sure that you make a decision you are happy with. Do not allow someone to sway your decision so they can receive a return.

There are many free websites that offer free money market and bank rate information. You may want to do research on these websites as they will give you a better idea as to what interest rate you are going to receive on your investment.
