Home mortgage loan rates have been extremely attractive for well over 15 months and many homeowners have taken advantage. At the present time Wachovia mortgage interest rates are below 5% for the 30 year fixed rate mortgage. It is important to know that not everyone will qualify for an interest rate this low.


To get a refinance rate is below 5% you will need to have a large amount of equity in your home and a credit score above 740. If you do not meet these requirements there’s very little chance that you will get a refinance rate anywhere near the 5% mark.

Wachovia and almost all mortgage lenders have been advertising low mortgage rates for quite some time. If you are in good financial standing there is a very good possibility that you could save by refinancing today.  It is very important to understand that you must look at your financial situation before making any final decisions.

If you have bills piling up and you have missed mortgage payments in the past then you may want to get your financial situation cleared up before spending any money on refinancing your home. Refinancing does cost money as there are closing costs involved.
