Federal Government Credit Card Debt Relief Plan – End Your Debt Problems

Posted on | March 12, 2010 | No Comments

The Federal Government credit card debt relief plan was designed to help you end your debt problems as soon as possible. There are many Americans who have revolving credit card debt that is very difficult to get rid of. Unfortunately, it seems that they are only paying interest each and every month.

With this being the case Pres. Obama and his staff have worked very hard to help consumers better understand their rights when it comes to credit card debt. At the end of February we solve the Credit CARD Act signed into law which will greatly change the credit card industry.

It will now be the case that you are given a 45 day notice before your credit card interest rate will go up. This will give you 45 days to adjust your spending habits and hopefully pay off this credit card before the interest rate moves higher.

It will also be the case that your credit card statements are much more detailed. You will find that your credit card statements will clearly show you how long it will take to pay off your credit card if you only make the minimum payments. Sadly, this may take several years and possibly even several decades for some credit cardholders.
