Home Mortgage Loan Rates – Citigroup and JP Morgan Chase Continue Low Interest Rates

Posted on | March 8, 2010 | No Comments

Home mortgage loan rates remain very low even though many analysts have predicted higher mortgage rates are coming. Both Citigroup and JP Morgan continue to offer low interest rates but that could change in the very near future. Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JP Morgan, recently stated that they are preparing to adjust their strategy to profit from a higher interest rate environment.

There are many mortgage lenders, not just Citigroup and JP Morgan Chase, that are currently offering very attractive mortgage interest at the present time. If you have a very good credit score and equity in your home you could benefit by having access to mortgage interest rates below 5%.

The 30 year fixed mortgage rate is currently around 4.85% which is very low when looking at a chart of historical rates. Some of the lowest mortgage rates we have seen in the history of the housing market have come over the last year. Unfortunately, low home mortgage loan rates will not last forever.

If you are in the market to buy a new home or refinance your current home then it may be wise to contact your lender today. This industry is very competitive so please understand that you do not have to sign with the first lender that offers you a low mortgage interest rate. There are many options so keep your eyes open.
