High Yield Savings Account – Interest Rates at 5.25% on a Savings Account?

If someone told you that you can receive an interest rate of 5.25% on savings account would it be believable? At the present time there are high yield savings accounts at local community banks that are getting an interest rate above 5%. If you do your research you are likely to find there many community banks offering interest rates above 4% on a checking or savings account.


It is very important to understand that these community banks will only allow applications from individuals who live in specific areas. If you do not live in a specific region of the country you will not be able to apply for a certain community bank checking account. Even though this is the case you are likely to find that there are banks in your area that will help you get a high interest rate on your checking account.

Make sure to do a significant amount of research as many of these community banks are not going to be on the front page of the search engine. They do not have a significant amount of money to advertise so you are going to have to diligently search for these types of banks. By starting in your local area you may find community banks that are offering yields that are very attractive.

The concept of compounding interest is help many Americans grew great wealth over the last several decades. By compounding 5% interest on your savings or checking account you will find your money grows very quickly. You do not want to miss out on this opportunity.
