New Years Resolution 2010 – Improve Your Credit Score and Increase Credit Limits
Posted on | December 28, 2009 | No Comments
Many Americans will make New Years resolutions that pertain to money in 2010. One of the most important things you can do, besides saving, is to improve your credit score and increase credit limits. Having the inability to borrow money can greatly hinder your financial life. Even though borrowing should not be the focus of your life it can help you immensely when it comes to making the bigger purchases in your life.
There are very few people who have the ability to buy a vehicle or home with cash. America is a country that allows citizens to purchase the finer things in life on credit. With this being the case it is very important that you have a respectable credit score so you can increase your credit limits. If you have found that your credit score has dropped over the last year then it would be a wise decision to take the necessary steps to improve it to the best of your ability.
The best way to improve your credit score and increase your credit limits is to make sure all of your bills are paid on time and in full. One of the biggest problems that Americans have is that they have no sense of urgency to make sure bills are paid on time. If you have a bill sitting on your table or counter you need to make sure that it gets paid on time so your credit score is not hit. It is also a good idea to pay down some of the high interest lines of credit you have.
