Most mortgage lenders are advertising mortgage interest rates well below 5%; it would be a good idea to contact some of these lenders and see what interest rate you would qualify for.  JP Morgan Chase and Wachovia are just two of the major lenders that continue to help borrower refinance their current mortgage under 5%.  Please understand that you cannot be underwater in your home or have a horrible credit score and expect to get low refinance rates.

There are many free resources available online to help you make the refinance process much easier.  Make sure to do some specific Google searches to find out all the information that you desire.  You should have no questions when you go into the home loan refinance process; it will make the likelihood of getting a lower interest rate much easier.
