Obama First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit Extension into 2010; $8000 Check

Posted on | December 18, 2009 | 1 Comment

The Obama first time home buyer tax credit extension into 2010 is a way that many homeowners will get an extra $8000 check.  This check is free money in your pocket if you have been thinking about buying a home.  There is little argument against the fact that this has greatly helped the housing market.  With home prices low, mortgage rates low and the tax credit available now is the time to buy your first home and assist the housing market and the overall economy.

At the present time the 30 year fixed rate mortgage is around 4.75%.  If you asked your parents what interest rate they got on their first mortgage it is likely to be double this rate based on the time in which they made the purchase.  Many first time home buyers do not realize how lucky they are to get these luxuries that many older Americans did not enjoy.  Do not let this opportunity pass you by as it may never happen again.

If you complete your home buying process by April 31st, 2010 you will receive an $8000 check that can go to whatever you like.  You are basically getting $8000 taken off the price of the home that you want to buy.  This comes at a time when home prices are low anyway so you are getting an even better deal so lock in your mortgage today!
