Earlier this week, Subprime Blogger started its Weekly Mortgage Rate Predictions column and the prediction for the 30 year fixed rate mortgage was spot in. We predicted 4.96% and that is exactly what Freddie Mac reported. The final press release is here. Mortgage rates continue to fall, but we are starting to see some things to that might change that in the near future. Overall, it is still a great time to have financial leverage against lenders.
The numbers that were released are as follows:
30 Yr Fixed Rate – 4.96% – This is exactly what Subprime Blogger predicted on the weekly mortgage rate prediction post on Monday.
15 Yr Fixed Rate – 4.65% – We actually predicted 4.59% for this rate, just a little bit off.
Check back in Monday to see the weekly mortgage rates predictions for next week.
