Mortgage Rates Predictions – January 15th
Posted on | January 12, 2009 | 5 Comments
We at Subprime Blogger are going to start a new column entitled “Weekly Mortgage Rates Predictions.” Each Monday afternoon, we will analyze the data provided over the last few days and weeks to predict what the Freddie Mac Weekly Primary Mortgage Survey will say. Our predictions will be for the 30 Year Fixed Rate and the 15 Year Fixed Rate. The first week of predictions is as follows:
30 Yr Fixed Rate – 4.96% – This will be HUGE news if it breaks below 5%. It will be the first time the average has been under 5% since the survey started collecting data in 1971.
15 Yr Fixed Rate – 4.59% – Once again, this would be the lowest since the inception of the survey.
The Freddie Mac data will be released every Thursday and we will analyze that data and compare it to the numbers we had to see how accurate we were. So stay tuned in to Subprime Blogger to get your Mortgage Rate Predictions! If you have any predictions or thoughts, feel free to comment.
