What are YOU Willing to Go In Debt For?

During our lifetime, the majority of us MUST go in debt at one point or another. The largest amount of debt that most Americans will incur is their home mortgage. Owning a home is the American dream and the only realistic way that most American citizens can do that is by obtaining a mortgage which they will be paying off for a major part of their lives. There are many other items or goods that individuals are willing to go in debt for including vehicles, consumer discretionary goods such as electronics or clothing, consumer staples such as food and drinks or an education; whether it be at the high school or college level. My question for you is what are YOU willing to go in debt for? Please select all that apply.

I would be willing to go into debt to send my children to college.

Unlike Gina, it’s the last thing I’d go into debt for.
I’d go into debt for a house or for my education because both are unavoidable depending on what you’re buying/going to school for.
Not even for a car would I go into debt for – unless it was for a second hand car that I couldn’t afford $2000 on and I desperately needed it.
The last things would be Food, Shelter (Rent) and Clothing (only for warmth). Other than that, it’s unnecessary.
