Refinance Home Loan Rates – Low Mortgage Rates in 2010

Posted on | December 21, 2009 | No Comments

Refinance home loan rates have been quite low for a significant period of time in 2009. If you are looking for low mortgage rates in 2010 then you might be in luck. Pres. Obama and his staff have worked very hard to keep interest rates low and this is the likely to continue into next year. The Federal Reserve Bank continues to buy mortgage-backed securities which in turn will push mortgage interest rates to a lower level.

If you’ve been thinking about refinancing your current home loan then 2010 might be the year for you. Each January there is a very strong increase in the amount of traffic when it comes to mortgage refinance applications; 2010 is likely to be no different as mortgage interest rates are very low and many homeowners will be looking to get a lower monthly mortgage payment.

With most lenders currently advertising mortgage interest rates well below 5% it is a very good idea to consider your options. With the amount of free resources available online there is no reason that you should not at least do some research and find out what lenders are available in your current area. By simply doing some Google searches you can find a plethora of mortgage lenders wanting your business.

Before you decide that a mortgage refinance is right for you it is a good idea to step back and look at your current financial situation.  Just because mortgage rates are low does not mean that you should refinance. If you have the extra money to cover  refinance costs and you have a good credit score then refinancing now is a very good idea. If the opposite is true and you have a very bad credit score and no money saved up for costs then maybe you should wait to refinance your home loan.

With refinance rates well below 5% at the current time we are likely to see a huge amount of refinance applications submitted when the new year rolls around. Ultimately, you would not like to be on the bottom of the stack so it might be a good idea to go ahead and get sure mortgage refinance application submitted in December rather than waiting until January.
