Mortgage Rate Predictions – February 12

Mortgage rate predictions for this week are as follows

30 Yr Fixed Rate – 5.34%
15 Yr Fixed Rate – 4.97%

After the Democrats denied the Republicans bill to lower mortgage rates to as low as 4%, it is likely we will see rates start to increase for awhile.  There might be a few weeks where we see a decline, but we expect the trend to have bottomed at just under 5% and to start grinding sideways or uptrending for awhile.  Check out the link here to see the actual numbers on Thursday.
