Home mortgage loan rates have been extremely low for quite some time. If you are looking to lock into a 15 year fixed mortgage rate today than you were in luck. Currently we are seeing the 15 year fixed mortgage rate well below 4.2% which is very close to an all-time low. If you have a good credit score and equity in your home there’s a good chance that you could refinance to very low mortgage interest rates.

Over the last few months we have seen a steady decline in overall mortgage interest rates. Since the beginning of September it seems that almost every week shows data for lower mortgage rates. If you have been thinking about refinancing or locking into a first-time mortgage now is the best time to take action. Not only are mortgage rates low but you are also likely to receive a tax incentive if you are a first-time home buyer.

If you are not a first-time home buyer and you are looking to refinance your home loan than you were still in luck. With 15 year and 30 year fixed mortgage rates near all-time lows you could end up saving hundreds of dollars a month by refinancing your current home loan. Make sure to do your research before going through with this process.

There many mortgage lenders out there who are currently advertising very low mortgage interest rates. Several lenders are showing mortgage rates well below 4.25% for the 15 year fixed. If you have the ability to refinance a 15 year mortgage today than you could end up saving thousands of dollars on the lifetime of your home loan.

It is extremely important to sit down and understand that your personal financial situation is unique. Not everyone should go to the home refinance process just because mortgage rates are low. If you cannot afford the refinance cost and you do not have a lot of equity in your home but refinancing might not be right for you very sit down with somebody who is strong in finances and determine what the best decision for you is.
