The home loan modification Making Home Affordable was designed to help home owners avoid foreclosure and save their homes. The way in which this is done is to lower monthly mortgage payments so home owners can make these payments and still have money left over to pay other bills. Too many home owners are stuck in a situation in which their mortgage payment is taking up all of their money; this is what Making Home Affordable is trying to combat.
There are many borrowers out there who do not realize how important it is to avoid foreclosure. President Obama has worked very hard to make sure that you avoid foreclosure and stay in your home. It is now your responsibility to get out there and actually do what it takes to lower your monthly mortgage payment. The government has put the plans in place now you must take advantage of this opportunity and do whatever it takes to avoid foreclosure.
