Over the next few weeks many Americans are going to prepare their children for going back to school and some of these individuals will look for the best sales and deals. The Iowa tax free weekend in 2011 will take place on August 5th and 6th so many parents and guardians in Iowa are sure to wait until this weekend to pick up school supplies for the children.
Most people will look for sales and deals from companies like WalMart, Target, Abercombie and Fitch and American Eagle. It is important to note that the sales tax free weekend in Iowa only applies to clothing and shoes that are under $100. This is different from some other states that also offer tax free weekends on electronics and computers.
Some of the most popular clothing stores for school kids include Abercrombie and Fitch, American Eagle, The Gap, Buckle, Hollister, and Charlotte Russe. There are many other retailers that will likely be packed on this specific weekend so it would be ideal for customers to get in and out as early as possible.
Taking the time and effort to do extensive research and understanding what deals will be available is very important. Luckily, almost all retailers have a sales ad that is listed online. These sales ads can help customers create a plan of attack for when they are headed to the mall or department store this August 5 or 6.
Remember that many states have a sales tax free weekend in 2011 so if you are not in the state of Iowa at the time it might still be possible to save money in other states. It is also true that other states could be offering tax free opportunities on many other items including electronics and computers that are always needed for school.
