Mississippi Sales Tax Free Weekend WalMart and Target Sales – Back to School Items Under $100 Include Shoes and Clothes

With many retailers looking to get More customers in the door it comes as no surprise to to see many sales and deals related to back-to-school items. The Mississippi sales tax free weekend will take place on July 29 and 30th and many retailers including WalMart and Target our likely to offer many back-to-school items at lower prices.


Many states have adopted a back-to-school sales tax free weekend prior to school starting to allow individuals the opportunity to save a little bit of extra cash. On July 29 and 30th and the state of Mississippi customers will receive no sales tax on clothes or shoes under $100.


It is very important to note that the sales tax free weekend is quite different from some other states. Other states including North Carolina and Tennessee offer sales tax free opportunities on items such as computers and other pieces of technology that are under a certain amount of money.

Even though the sales tax free weekend in the state of Mississippi is limited to just close and choose it can still help many customers who are looking to save money when making purchases for the children who will be going back to school or college. For any purchases that are over $100 it is important to note that customers will not be able to receive any tax-free opportunities.

Two of the largest retailers in the state of Mississippi include Walmart and Target so it should come as little surprise to see these retailers offering a huge sales at that includes many different types of clothes and shoes. When it comes to children’s close individual’s know just how much money can be spent to it is a relief to save a little bit of extra cash by avoiding the sales tax that is applied to these specific purchases.
