Mortgage Interest Rates November 18 – All Time Lows Very Near

Posted on | November 18, 2009 | No Comments

Mortgage interest rates for November 18th, 2009 are very close to all time lows.  The weekly average for the all time low was 4.61% in March.  Today we are seeing the 30 year fixed mortgage rate at 4.62% while the 15 year fixed rate is at 4.2%.  The 5/1 ARM is also much lower to 3.49%.

Earlier this week we saw the 10 year treasury rate yield fall right through the support level of the 50 day moving average.  This entire week we have seen a pull back in the 10 year yield.  The next support level is the 200 day moving average and that should come into play very soon.

Mortgage rates at these levels are very early in the morning on November 18th, 2009, prior to 8:00 am, so this could change at any moment.  The movement of the 10 year yield this week looks like it is going to be a strong influence on where mortgage rates go.
