College Football Preseason Top 10

I am going a little out of the box today.  I know you are used to seeing daily mortgage rates and articles helping you to get a low rate refinance here at Subprime Blogger, but today I am going to talk about another passion of mine; College Football.

College Football Preseason Top 10

1. Florida – Tebow is STILL there?  Hasn’t he wont like 6 Heismans and 4 National Championships already?  Florida did lose Dan Mullen (OC) to Mississppi State, but I think Tebow will be enough to get it done again.  Can we say the best college football QB ever?

2. Texas – Colt McCoy is back, another 8th year player!  The offensive line returns 4 starters so look for the Longhorns to run through people until the Red River Shootout and then it is on again.  Every year that game gets better.

3. USC – One word – Pete Carroll

4. Oklahoma – Sam Bradford is back so they will score about 76 points a game.  Is the defense going to stop anyone this year?  I never thought I would say this, but Bob Stoops really needs to get his defense back in gear.

5. Georgia Tech – The Yellow Jackets are in the ACC; I think that is about all that needs to be said.  They put up huge numbers last year with NO upperclassman on offense, what is going to happen with some experience running the option?

6. Virginia Tech – Another ACC team that will have no challenges until they meet the Yellow Jackets.  The winner of that game is a shoe-in for the Orange Bowl.  Tyrod Taylor with some experience will help the Hokies roll through the ACC.

7. Ohio State – All that you need to know about tOSU is that they play in the Big 11.  I think I could take Washington State and win the Big 11; ok, that might be a stretch.

8. LSU – The Bayou Bangals always have a ton of talent and their offensive line is very experienced.  They aren’t going to lose in Tiger Stadium so if they have any stumbles, it will be on the road.

9. BYU – The Youngers return an experienced QB and have momentum from last year.  They will get crushed in the first game versus Oklahoma, but they play every other tough game at home.

10. Kansas State – Bill Snyder.  Look for the Wildcats to win 10 games for the next 16 years.

ok, we’re not too far off this year for a change……

    1. Florida: this might just be the best team that we will see in a looooong time. If they play up to potential, they’ll go undefeated in the SEC, which is reason enough to be number 1.

    2. USC: same reason

3&4: Texas/Oklahoma: whoever wins the Red River Shootout gets the higher ranking………unlike last year

    5. Ga Tech: Some may think this is a little high, but Paul Johnson understands the game of football. This may be the most underrated team in the nation.

    6. Utah: best non bcs team in the nation

    7. LSU: I can’t see any team other than Florida winning the SEC. LSU consistently wins ballgames, even when they shouldn’t. But contrary to years past, the SEC west is a dead heat this year. LSU should win the west in my opinion, but they’ll lose a couple getting there.

    8. Ohio State: the Buckeyes will be about like always in the overrated Big 11. They may not win bowl games, but they find a way to get there.

    9. Georgia: Another team that might have fell off the radar because people thought they lost too much. They’ve got a lot of talent still stocked up there.

    10. West Virginia: It’s a shame they didn’t do better last year. But, I think a lot of people are overlooking them because of the Big East. They have the potential to make a lot of noise this year.
