The 10 year treasury rate yield was up slightly on Monday which moved mortgage rates very little. The 10 year yield currently sits on its 50 day moving average which is likely to serve as a very strong support level. If the yield gets a bounce off this support level you can expect mortgage rates to start to move higher.

Many analysts have predicted that mortgage rates are going to start to move much higher as early as the spring of 2010. It will be interesting to see if the 10 year yield has a strong part in this move higher. The resurgence of the 10 year yield uptrend could push 30 year fixed mortgage rates well above 5%.

VA home loan mortgage rates are generally .5% to 1% lower than a conventional mortgage loan. With this being the case it is very attractive to see mortgage rates around 5%. To get a mortgage interest rate well below the psychological 5% mark would be something that almost any home owner would desire. You should not miss out on this amazing opportunity as it may not last.

There are many analysts who have predicted that mortgage rates are going to move higher. A chief economist at Morgan Stanley predicted that we would see mortgage rates around 7.5% to 8% sometime in 2010. That would be a drastic move higher and it would be very interesting to see what that did to the overall housing market. If mortgage rates did move this high it is likely that the Federal Reserve Bank would do everything they could to push mortgage rates lower.

If you have been thinking about locking into a low VA home loan mortgage rate now might be one of the best times in history. The conventional 30 year fixed rate mortgage hit an all time low in late November. The all time low of 4.49% was immediately erased as the 10 year treasury rate yield pushed much higher which in turn pushed mortgage interest rates much higher.

Even though the 30 year fixed is now up to 4.7% this is still extremely low when looking at historical mortgage rates. Now is the time to contact your lender and see what mortgage rate you will qualify for. It might be a good idea to go ahead and get started on a mortgage application today so you avoid the crowd that we are likely to see when the new year rolls around.

The 10 year treasury rate yield is pulling back early this week after seeing a rise of over 7% last week. This move higher helped push conventional mortgage rates from 4.49% to 4.75%. The 4.49% level achieve during the last weekend of November was an all time low. It will be very interesting to see if mortgage rates can achieve this all time low again in the near future.

The year of 2010 is sure to be interesting in the housing market. The first few months are going to see a swarm of refinance applications because mortgage rates continue to remain under 5%. If you have been thinking about refinancing it would be a good idea to go ahead and get started so your mortgage application is not on the bottom of the stack and you miss out on extremely low rates.

VA Home loan mortgage rates are mixed today as the conventional 30 year fixed rate mortgage is down to 4.62% while the conventional 15 year fixed mortgage rate is up to 4.24%. The conventional 5/1 ARM is also up to 3.72%. VA home loan mortgage rates are generally between .5% and 1% below conventional mortgage rates making it a very attractive time to get a VA home loan.

Today we saw the 10 year treasury rate yield move all the way back up to the 50 day moving average but this average is now serving as resistance rather than a level of support. The movements over the rest of the week will go a long way determining if the 10 year yield will continue its up trend or if it will break down and fall to new lows.

With conventional mortgage interest rates well below 5% now is a great time to lock in to a low mortgage rate. If you have been waiting for rates to drop to all time lows your wait is almost over. With rates just slightly above all time lows now is the time to get out there and actually submit your mortgage application.

With VA home loan rates generally being .5% to 1% lower than conventional mortgage rates now is the time to lock in at these low rates.

The 10 year treasury rate yield has dropped significantly this week which was not as surprise when looking at mortgage rates. Mortgage interest rates have continued to move lower as the 10 year yield increased. Now we know that the 10 year needed a strong pull back and mortgage rates had already anticipated that.

It will be interesting to see if the 200 day moving average serves as support. The 200 dma is now up trending so if it does serve as support then there is a good chance this will help to lead the move higher. No one knows what will happen in the near future but it will be a fun ride nonetheless.

VA home loan mortgage rates for November 13th, 2009 are stable. Today we are seeing the conventional 30 year fixed mortgage rate at 4.7% while the 15 year fixed mortgage rate is at 4.25%. The conventional 5/1 ARM is up slightly to 3.66%. We are getting very close to all time low territory so now would be the time to lock in to a low mortgage. VA home loan mortgage rates are generally .5% to 1% below conventional mortgage interest rates.

This entire week we have seen the 10 year treasury rate yield consolidate after bouncing off its 50 day moving average last week. This is one of the main reasons we are seeing mortgage rates get very close to all time lows. It will be interesting to see when the 30 year fixed mortgage rate actually reacts to the 10 year treasury rate yield which has been up trending since the beginning of October. Eventually we are going to see the market set interest rates rather than the Federal Reserve Bank.

With VA home loans being quotes under 4% at some lending institutions now is the time to take advantage of low rates. If you are a veteran and have the opportunity to lock in to a very low mortgage interest rate then you need to at least think about taking some action. By doing the research and finding out what rate you qualify for you may determine that you could save hundreds of dollars a month by locking in at a low rate.

VA home loan mortgage rates for November 12th, 2009 are mixed today. The conventional 30 year fixed mortgage rates is down to 4.71% while the 15 year fixed mortgage rate is up to 4.26%. The conventional 5/1 ARM is also up to 3.64%. VA home loan mortgage interest rates are generally around .5% to 1% lower than conventional mortgage rates.

Today we have seen mortgage interest rates work their way lower as the 10 year treasury rate yield has moved lower as well. Even though we have seen the 10 year yield carve out an uptrend off the October lows mortgage rates have yet to react. This is quite unusual as there is a strong correlation between the 10 year yield and mortgage interest rates.

This scenario took place back in May. The 10 year yield moved higher yet mortgage rates moved sideways to down. At the end of May we saw mortgage interest rates move as much as .75% in one week. No one knows if this will happen again but if there continues to be a move up in yields it is likely we will see a move up in mortgage rates.

VA home loan mortgage rates November 11th, 2009 are mixed. The conventional 30 year fixed mortgage rate is down to 4.7% while the 15 year fixed is up to 4.26%. The conventional 5/1 ARM is also up to 3.68%. Even with rates being slightly higher they are still very attractive to home owners. VA home loan mortgage rates are generally .5% to 1% lower than conventional mortgage rates.

The 10 year treasury rate yield was unchanged today so mortgage interest rates were not affected by that. Tomorrow is going to be very interesting when it comes to the 10 year yield. There is a good chance that we could see treasury yields drop to their 50 day moving averages as they are getting close to this level anyway.

If the 10 year yield does drop to its 50 day moving average then there is a great possibility that we are going to see mortgage rates fall very close to all time lows. With the conventional 30 year fixed mortgage rate at 4.7% we are getting very close to historical territory. With this in mind, it is a good idea to go ahead and get that mortgage application started.

VA home loan mortgage rates for November 10th, 2009 are mixed. Today we are seeing the conventional 30 year fixed mortgage rate up to 4.77% while the conventional 15 year fixed rate is down to 4.24%. The conventional 5/1 ARM is up slightly to 3.61%. VA home loan mortgage rate are generally .5% to 1% lower than conventional mortgage rates so you can see that VA loan rates are very attractive at the current time.

Since bouncing off its 50 day moving average the 10 year treasury rate yield has moved sideways to down. This is to be expected as nothing goes straight up; if it did go straight up there would be a crash right back down to reality. All up trends needs sideways consolidation or down days. The interesting thing about the 10 year yield is that the 50 day moving average is not starting to turn to an upward direction.

If the 10 year yield continues to move higher then mortgage interest rates are eventually going to follow. This has yet to be the case as the 10 year yield has been up trending since the beginning of October while mortgage rates have moved sideways. There is a good chance that mortgage interest rates will react all at once when the 10 year yield finally breaks to new yearly highs. A move up of .75% or more would not be unimaginable at this point.
