Bad Credit Payday Loans – Are the Fees Worth a Cash Advance?
Posted on | August 28, 2009 | 1 Comment
Bad credit payday loans have become very popular since the unemployment rate started increasing at the beginning of the current recession. What people used to make and what they currently make is a totally different thing. An income of $1000 a week has been slashed to three quarters or half of that in many households. With an income so much lower than before, it is often hard to make ends meet with a mortgage payment and all the bills that need to get paid.
One way to make ends meet is to get a bad credit payday loan. The issue with a bad credit payday loan is that there are enormous fees involved. As an example, if you get a $250 cash advance, you are likely to pay a fee of $50 a week to repay the advance. Most companies will allow you up to three or four weeks to pay it back, but each week you have to pay the fee of $50. If you cannot pay the $250 back within four weeks, you will already have racked up a fee of $200; this is almost as much as the loan was.
This is the issue that many hard working Americans are finding to be the case. Most people think they are going to pay back the payday loan immediately but that is often not the case. Unfortunately, there is a reason that you need a cash advance loan. It is likely that you are not the best with your money and this has been the case for quite some time. No matter how much you want to believe that you will pay it back within a week sometimes it just cannot happen. Please realize this when you decide on a bad credit payday loan.
The one good thing about this industry is that these companies are popping up everywhere. This is great for a borrower because you have options. There are even Internet payday loan companies that offer the entire process online and you can have the money within 24 hours. Getting approved is not as hard as it once was because so many people have seen a drop in their credit score. It would be wise to look into the fees each company is charging and pick the lowest fees to save you over the long run.
Overall, getting a bad credit payday loan is not the best option in the world but sometimes it is the only option. Make sure to do your research and find out when each payment is due and how much you are going to be paying in fees. If you can get a few percentage points knocked off on your fees you could save hundreds of dollars over the long run.
