Posted on | September 29, 2009 | No Comments
Bad credit home loans are something that have gained in popularity since the beginning of the recession. Many borrowers who once had good credit now have bad credit. Some of these borrowers are unemployed and need money help. Unfortunately these hard working Americans have been put in a tough situation that is sometimes hard to get out of. Luckily for them there are companies out there who will help paying or getting a bad credit home loan.
If you are unemployed and need money help there are companies that will that can give you mortgage assistance. President Obama has worked very hard on creating the Making Home Affordable plan with the objective to help people stay in their homes and avoid foreclosure. What the plan also does is allows common Americans to have access to low interest rates.
Prior to March of 2009 when the Making Home Affordable plan was created, it was very hard for anyone with bad credit to get a reasonable interest rate on their mortgage. After March, President Obama created incentives for lenders to actually lend money to common citizens. The incentives have definitely worked because banks and financial institutions are actually lending again.
If you do have bad credit, do not expect to get a home loan rate of 5% or below. You will find that you are going to get a mortgage interest rate that is well above the advertised low rates but it will be something that is manageable. If you are unemployed you may find it difficult to get a home loan rate that is low. This does not mean that your lender will not work with you. The government is trying to create programs to help the unemployed make their mortgage payments.
There have been no finalized plans for helping the unemployed to pay there mortgage but it could happen as early as October. With the unemployment rate increasing each month President Obama knows how important it is to give these individuals money help to survive this very troubling time.
