Many shoppers will use their unsecured poor credit credit cards this holiday season to make gift purchases.  Before you decide if it is right for you to spend money on those last minute gifts it might be a good idea to step back and look at just how much money you have spent.  Many Americans have no clue as to how much money they spend on Christmas until it is too late.

If you continue to charge money to that bad credit credit card it is eventually going to come back to bite you.  Unfortunately, many of the bad credit credit cards out there have very high interest rates which are going to cause you to pay a huge amount of money in interest over time.  Obviously this is something you do not want to do so the best way to combat this is to not use those card excessively.

Sadly, the number of Americans that are dependent on their credit cards continues to grow every single year.  With the struggles that people have seen when it comes to personal finances it is easy to understand why they would use a credit card more this holiday season.  There have been several news channels that report the use of credit cards is going down this Christmas but we will see what the numbers say.

If you sit down and look at all your receipts you will better understand just how much money you have spent this holiday season.  If you are anywhere close to or over you budget then it is probably a good idea to put that poor credit unsecured credit card back in your wallet and stop buying gifts.  If you do not get those few extra gifts everything will still be just fine; they will get over it.
