During the Christmas holiday season it is likely that many bad credit borrowers will apply for an instant bad credit credit card. Most of these borrowers would love to get a credit card that has a rewards program. Unfortunately rewards programs are getting less and less available for those who do not have great credit. If your credit score has dropped in the last six months you are likely to finally getting a rewards program is a little bit harder than it has been in the past.
Make sure to do a diligent amount of research on all credit cards before you go to the application process. There were many online resources that are completely free so there is no reason that you should not take advantage of these resources. Possibly doing some google searches you are going to find all of these resources and then some.
Finding a low interest rate on a bad credit credit card is something that is nearly impossible in the current economic environment. After the credit crisis many borrowers are seeing that finding a low interest rate is nearly impossible on any type of loan. Credit card companies and lenders are doing everything they can to make sure that they are only offering low interest rates to the best borrowers out there.
If you have seen your credit score drop over the last six months and you have not made all your monthly payments on time and in full and you are going to see interest rates in excess of 20% on most credit card you apply for. There might be some credit cards that offer low introductory rate. But after this period is over you will see your interest rate skyrocket.
The best way to get a low interest rate on any type of loan or credit card is to increase your credit score. If you paid all of your bills on time and in full you are going to find that over time your credit score increases. The only problem with this is that it could take several months and possibly even years.
