Apple recently announced that the Apple iPad will be available in nine additional countries beginning this Friday. These countries include Mexico, Hong Kong, Signapore, Belgium, Austria, Ireland, Luxembourgh, Netherlands, and New Zealand. With the success of this tablet device it comes as no surprise to see Apple increasing distribution.
In less than three months from release the Apple iPad sold more than 3 million units. While sales have not continued at this torrid pace they are still very good and will continue to increase as Apple increases the availability of this device into other countries throughout the world.
On January 27th, when Steve Jobs announced the Apple iPad he made the statement, “”Do we have what it takes to create a new category….We think we’ve got the goods.” Looking back on this statement there is little argument to be made that Apple “had the goods.”
Many technology companies are attempting to create a competitor to the Apple iPad in the form of a tablet device but nothing has come close to competing with the 9.7 inch tablet. With success comes competition and we know that the other major technology corporations around the world are working hard to take part in the success of the tablet market.
