Save Money Any Way Possible

Alabama Coach Nick Saban Worth Every Penny of His $4.1 Million Contract in 2010

With the SEC Media days upon us it is time to start talking college football and the money it produces.  When Nick Saban signed one of the biggest contracts in the history of college football for a coach many wondered if he was worth over $4 million.  Now that Saban has won a national championship and is the odds on favorite to win again this year most would agree that Nick Saban has been worth every penny to Alabama.

In a preview of the SEC Media Days, Fanhouse points out that Nick Saban is almost “God-like” in the state of Alabama:

“13. If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like if Jesus returned to the Earth and landed in Alabama, come to the Wynfrey Hotel lobby when Nick Saban arrives on Wednesday.
It’s really impossible to explain the scene.
But I’ll do my best come Wednesday.
I can’t wait.
Because while it may be 98 degrees in Birmingham, fall is in the air.”

After winning a national championship at the University of Alabama, Nick Saban will go down as a historical figure in Tusculoosa.  If he can win back to back national championships he will then find that the $4.1 million might prove to be less than what he is truly worth to the university.
