30 Year Fixed Mortgage Rates – Citigroup Refinance Rates Still Below 5%

At the present time 30 year fixed mortgage rates are still below 5%. Citigroup refinance rates are currently being quoted around 4.85% for very well qualified borrowers. It is important to note that you must have a significant amount of equity in your home and a credit score well above 740 to get anything close to an interest rate this low.
Citigroup and many other major mortgage lenders have been advertising low mortgage rates for a significant period of time. The conventional 30 year fixed mortgage rate has been below 5% for the entire year of 2010. Now is one of the greatest opportunities to lock into a low overall interest rate on your home loan.
It would be a wise decision to contact many lenders as this industry is full of competition.
