The average for 30 year fixed mortgage rates remains below 5%. At the present time Chase mortgage rates are at 4.84% for the 30 year fixed. The 15 year fixed mortgage rate is at 4.26%. When looking at a historical chart of mortgage rates you can clearly see that we are very close to an all time low. The all time low for the 30 year fixed mortgage rate was actually set in November when it was quoted at 4.49%.
