30 Year Fixed Mortgage Rates – Interest Rates Lower in New York

The average for 30 year fixed mortgage rates is currently 4.55%. If you currently live in New York and you are looking to lower your interest rate than you are in luck. With the national average mortgage rates at all-time lows there is a very good chance that living in New York is going to allow you to have access to these rates as well. New York generally has mortgage interest rates that are very close to the national average but always make sure to check your lender first.

There are many homeowners in New York that would like to refinance their current home loans at lower mortgage interest rates. If you are one of these borrowers and you have seen the equity in your home increase than you are likely to have the ability to lower your mortgage interest rate drastically.

By lowering your mortgage interest rate there’s a good chance that you could save several hundred dollars a month on your monthly mortgage payment. There is no reason that you should not at least investigate this opportunity as this is the lowest mortgage rates have ever been in the history of the US housing market.

There many mortgage lenders out there that are more than willing to help you refinance your current home loan. It is your job to find out which bank will work best for you and who will offer you the best incentives.

As always, with any major financial decision, it is important to address the issue with your entire family. You would not want to make a decision that is several hundred thousand dollars that is not okay with your entire family’s agreement. If you explain to your family that you could save several hundred dollars a month on your monthly mortgage payment they are likely to agree that refinancing is a great idea in the near future.
