Posted on | November 29, 2009 | No Comments

A bad credit auto loan is something that many current and future automobile owners are considering in the current economic crisis. If you plan on buying a car in December there is a very good chance that you will go to the auto loan process. There many lenders out there who will be willing to help you with this process but it is very important you picked the one that works best for you.

Most people think that the best way to get a loan is to pick the lender who offers the lowest interest rate. While this is often the case it is not always going to be true for every unique situation. Some lenders may offer incentives or possibly even deferred payments if you sign with them which may outweigh a low interest rate.

It is important to sit down with a pencil and paper and write down all the numbers that are involved in the auto loan process. The costs, the interest rate, and any of the incentives the auto lenders may offer you all factor into which auto loan will work best for you. This may take a lot of time and effort but it will be well worth it in the long run.

Finding a low interest-rate on a bad credit auto loan is something that can be very difficult in the current economic environment. Lenders have been very strict with their lending practices because they have seen what lending to bad credit borrowers will do to their balance sheet. Many of these borrowers have made no attempt to pay back these loans and is causing lenders to struggle greatly.

As with any industry they’re going to be some lenders that are in very good financial condition and some lenders are in very bad financial condition. And might be a good idea to find out what the balance sheet of these lenders looks like. You do not want to sign with a lender who is going to go out of business in the next few months.
