VA Home Loan Mortgage Rates November 23 – Rates Mixed Today
Posted on | November 23, 2009 | No Comments
VA Home loan mortgage rates are mixed today as the conventional 30 year fixed rate mortgage is down to 4.62% while the conventional 15 year fixed mortgage rate is up to 4.24%. The conventional 5/1 ARM is also up to 3.72%. VA home loan mortgage rates are generally between .5% and 1% below conventional mortgage rates making it a very attractive time to get a VA home loan.
Today we saw the 10 year treasury rate yield move all the way back up to the 50 day moving average but this average is now serving as resistance rather than a level of support. The movements over the rest of the week will go a long way determining if the 10 year yield will continue its up trend or if it will break down and fall to new lows.
With conventional mortgage interest rates well below 5% now is a great time to lock in to a low mortgage rate. If you have been waiting for rates to drop to all time lows your wait is almost over. With rates just slightly above all time lows now is the time to get out there and actually submit your mortgage application.
