If you have any banking relationships with Citi then you know that they offer many financial services. The only way you’ll find out what interest rate they can offer you is to actually apply for an auto loan.

Getting the lowest interest rate on auto loan is something that can only be done with a high credit score. The higher your credit score the lower the interest rate will be on any of your loans whether it be auto loans, personal loans or home loans. If you have a very bad credit score you will find that your interest rate will increase drastically especially after the credit crisis.

The one tried and true method to increase your credit score is make sure all your bills are paid on time and in full. It is very surprising that many people do not know all the lines of credit that they are currently paying on.

Once you find out your credit score is a good idea to write it down and keep it with you at all times. This will help you make better financial decisions. Instead of buying that $200 coat maybe you’ll think twice when you look in your wallet and see your credit score sitting right there.
