Mortgage Interest Rates November 21 – Rates Up Today

Posted on | November 21, 2009 | No Comments

Mortgage interest rates for November 21st, 2009 are up.  Today we are seeing the 30 year fixed mortgage rate up to 4.68% while the 15 year fixed mortgage rates is up to 4.25%.  The 5/1 ARM is also up to 3.9%.  Even though mortgage interest rates are up today they are still very close to all time lows which could be broken next week.

The 10 year treasury rate yield dropped almost every day last week and broke through its 50 day moving average.  This is one of the major reasons that we are seeing mortgage interest rates getting very close to historic lows.  The all time low for the 30 year fixed mortgage rate is a weekly average of 4.61% and there is a strong possibility this could happen prior to 2010.

The next few weeks are going to be very interesting when it comes to mortgage rates.  If the 10 year yield continues to move lower then there is little argument that all time low mortgage rates are coming soon.  Now is one of the best time in history to get out there and go through the mortgage application process and possibly lock in to a mortgage rate very close to an all time low.
