Government Mortgage Refinance Plan – Is Obama Helping You Save?

Posted on | November 18, 2009 | 1 Comment

The government mortgage refinance plan was created to help you avoid foreclosure and stay in your home. President Obama realize that the foreclosure rate was greatly increasing and did not want Americans to be forced out of their home. With mortgage interest rates at historical lows many homeowners can save by refinancing.

We are currently seeing a 30 year fixed mortgage rate around 4.65%. This is very close to the all-time low of 4.61%. No one knows if mortgage rates will drop below this level but refinancing at 4.65% is something that many Americans desire to do.

If you’ve been thinking about refinancing but have yet to take action now might be the time to get off your couch and get that mortgage application. Many mortgage lenders have been advertising mortgage rates well below 5%. If you have a decent credit score and equity in your home there’s a very good chance that you would benefit by refinancing today.

Do not let the thought of getting denied a low mortgage rate under your aspirations of getting a lower monthly mortgage payment. Many American homeowners are finding that refinancing today can save them hundreds of dollars a month on their mortgage payment.

If you could save hundreds of dollars a month on your mortgage payment this money can go towards other bills or possibly even paying off other debts. If you are finding it difficult to make ends meet financially now might be the time to go through the mortgage refinance process.
