Posted on | November 18, 2009 | No Comments

Applying for a bad credit credit card often means you are not going to get a low interest rate. If you have bad credit credit card companies realize that you are at risk of not paying off your credit card so they are going to assign you a high rate so they can make the money back through interest over the long run.

Even the best borrowers out there are finding the interest rates are getting much higher on credit cards. It seems each and every week we are hearing new news about credit cards increasing interest rates so they can make a profit in the very near future.

Since the credit crisis, many credit card companies have found it very difficult to make a profit. In fact, most credit card companies are seeing red on their balance sheets which is very bad for borrowers. The more red they see the higher interest rates we will see.

Some other very bad things are happening with credit cards as well. Some credit card companies are increasing the annual fee on cards and lowering the overall limit of cards. If you have missed a payment or have found it bad credit has hurt you in the past it is likely that you are going to have to endure these processes.

Getting a bad credit credit card with 0% APR is very unlikely. In the past it was possible that this option was available but that is no longer the case. After the credit crisis credit card companies have totally changed their lending practices and then no longer offering 0% to bad credit borrowers.
