Getting a bad credit credit card is something many current Americans are attempting to do. Due to the fact that the recession has hit most people’s wallets very hard bad credit is becoming more and more common. Unfortunately with a bad credit score you are going to find that the interest rate on your credit card is much higher.

Many credit card holders would like to know if there are any reward options available before Christmas. Unfortunately, it is the case that many credit card companies are slowing their rewards programs. It is extremely hard to find a credit card that offers cash back rewards as these are almost nonexistent anymore.

The credit crisis is greatly change the way the credit card industry is run. In a recent survey we found out that most credit card companies are going to start increasing interest rates, lowering overall limits and applying more annual fees. This is going to be done to all credit cards for good credit borrowers and bad credit borrowers.

Most of the credit card companies are finding it very difficult to make money during the current recession. The unsecured debt that these companies provide is not getting payback because borrowers know there’s not much these credit card companies can do. Many bad credit borrowers are just giving up on paying credit card as a whole and letting it destroy their credit.

If borrowers have already locked into a mortgage rate and they do not care what their credit score is often they are just giving up on what they owe on credit cards. Some borrowers are actually willing to negotiate and offer half or one forth of their balance but there is no way they can actually pay the full amount. This is the reason we are seeing higher interest rates on all credit cards.
