Mortgage Interest Rates November 13 – Todays Rates Unchanged

Posted on | November 14, 2009 | No Comments

Mortgage interest rates for November 13th, 2009 are unchanged in light volume.  Any weekend in the fall is a very slow weekend for mortgage interest rates as all financial markets are closed.  The 30 year fixed mortgage rate is at 4.71% while the 15 year fixed mortgage rates is at 4.22%.  The 5/1 ARM is up slightly to 3.67%.  Next week should be very interesting when it comes to mortgage rates; could we see an all time low?

This week we saw mortgage interest rates drop below the 4.7% level quite a few times.  The all time low for mortgage rates is 4.61% so we are getting very close to this level.  Please understand that the all time low of 4.61% was a weekly average so a daily drop below that level would not mean that we are at an all time low.

With the Federal Reserve Bank continuing to print money to keep interest rates low there is very little argument that mortgage interest rates should stay below 5%.  The question that most borrowers want to know is “are we going to see an all time low in 2009?”  No one knows the answer to this question but it sure is going to be fun to find out!
