Bad Credit Unsecured Personal Bank Loans – Bank of America Not an Option This Christmas
Posted on | November 13, 2009 | No Comments
Getting a bad credit unsecured personal bank loan is something many bad credit borrowers want to do prior to the Christmas holiday. If you are a bad credit borrower who is seeking a personal loan and Bank of America is no longer an option for you. As of October 31, 2009 Bank of America will no longer be offering personal loans to any customers.
You may wonder why this is the case. The reason that Bank of America has given up on the personal loans business is that this is a very risky part of the banking industry and they do not want to take on the high level of risk. After purchasing Countrywide Bank of America has enough bad loans on their balance sheet.
We have been hearing in the news each and every day that bad loans are causing banks to struggle greatly. With bad loans already on the ballot sheet there is no reason that any of these companies should continue to offer bad loans that is the reason Bank of America is ceasing to offer any type of personal loans as a Halloween of 2009.
It is likely that there are other banks that are continuing to offer these type of loans but you’ll have to do your research and it might take a little bit longer to find these types of facts. With Bank of America taking the lead there is a very good chance that you are going to start seeing many other small banks no longer offer personal loans so if you want to get one of these loans you might want to get out there now.
It will be very interesting to see which banks followed the lead of Bank of America. Some of the other banks do not have as many debt credit loans on their balance sheets so they may be willing to take a little more risk. If these banks are willing to take the risk you can expect to see an extremely high interest rate on all bad credit personal loans you apply for.
