VA Home Loan Mortgage Rates November 11 – 15 Year Fixed Up

Posted on | November 11, 2009 | No Comments

VA home loan mortgage rates November 11th, 2009 are mixed.  The conventional 30 year fixed mortgage rate is down to 4.7% while the 15 year fixed is up to 4.26%.  The conventional 5/1 ARM is also up to 3.68%.  Even with rates being slightly higher they are still very attractive to home owners.  VA home loan mortgage rates are generally .5% to 1% lower than conventional mortgage rates.

The 10 year treasury rate yield was unchanged today so mortgage interest rates were not affected by that.  Tomorrow is going to be very interesting when it comes to the 10 year yield.  There is a good chance that we could see treasury yields drop to their 50 day moving averages as they are getting close to this level anyway.

If the 10 year yield does drop to its 50 day moving average then there is a great possibility that we are going to see mortgage rates fall very close to all time lows.  With the conventional 30 year fixed mortgage rate at 4.7% we are getting very close to historical territory.  With this in mind, it is a good idea to go ahead and get that mortgage application started.
