Unemployment Benefits Extension Will Help You Get the Money You Need

The unemployment benefits extension was signed into law late last week and it is going to help many unemployed Americans get the money they needed. The bill will extend benefits to all unemployed Americans for 14 weeks. If you currently reside in a state with high unemployment, 8.5% or above, you will receive an additional six weeks of benefits equally a total of 20 extra weeks.
Late last week we learned that the unemployment rate is now over 10%. This is the first time we have seen the unemployment rate in double digits in many decades. Many financial analysts are claiming that we are out of the water when it comes to the recession but how can that be the case with unemployment continuing to rise.
If they think we are “out of the water” maybe they need to ask one of those one in ten Americans that currently cannot find work. Luckily, President Obama and his staff have worked very hard to make sure that your benefits are covered. If the unemployment rate does not get better look for the government to create other plans to help you pay your mortgage are ease your financial burdens.
UPDATE: We have had a great response to the new website Unemployed and Trying. If you would like to submit a story or reason as to why are happy that unemployment benefits have been extended please email them to jwojdylo@subprimeblogger.com. We will gladly post them on the new site. Please make the comments free of profanity or any direct insults.

I am very relieved that the law past,Thank you.
My concern is: If we are in a state that has unemployment over 9% are we going to get the extra 6 weeks of the bill that past?

When will the DOL start giving us the unemployment again. Their website has nothing about it yet? I have been without unemployment for going on the 5th week now. I have certified each week since it ended and submitted my SEB work search as required. The problem is they keep us in the dark.
