Subprime Blogger Correctly Predicts Bounce Back Over 5% in 30 Yr. Fixed Mortgage

At Subprime Blogger, we correctly predicted a bounce in the 30 year fixed rate mortgage; a bounce back over 5%. Many market mavens were saying that rates were in a free fall, but we disagreed as stated in our weekly mortgage rate predictions. Actual figures are:
30 Yr Fixed Rate – 5.12% vs. 5.06% predicted – Although we were off .06%, it was still a pretty good guess in our opinion.
15 Yr. Fixed Rate – 4.80% vs. 4.69% predicted – Once again, not a bad prediction with everyone else predicting a decline in rates.
Two weeks in a row Subprime Blogger has been within .1% of the 30 year fixed rate mortgage. Check back in on Monday to see next week’s mortgage rate predictions.
