“We Haven’t Seen the Bottom in the Stock Markets Yet”

Jim Rogers makes some more bold predictions in a recent interview.  Rogers is worried about Obama’s plan to tax capital and protect American workers.  Protectionism and the taxing of capital; throughout history it has always turned into a disaster.  Hopefully Obama was just trying to get elected and will not do this or did not mean it.  Hopefully cooler heads will prevail to save America from this mistake.

Rogers has covered many of his shorts recently but feels that we haven’t seen the bottom in the stock markets yet.  Problems will start again in the future as the politicians have made the crisis worse.  He made no predictions on when it will happen, just that fact that it is highly likely unless politicians make some changes.

“This is a period of forced liquidation of all assets” which has caused the drop in commodities.  No one is paying attention to the fundamentals which make the case that the bull market in commodities has a lot of room to run.  The fundamentals of commodities are unimpaired unlike the funadamentals of GM and Bank of America.  What are you currently investing in?  Stocks?  Bonds?  Commodities?  Real Estate?
